José Condessa, commonly referred to as Zé, is currently captivating audiences with his role in the TVI series "Cacau" and sharing the stage as the co-lead in the theatrical production "A Andorinha / La Golondrina." He gained international recognition for his performance in Pedro Almodovar's film "Strange Way of Life / Estranha Forma de Vida," which made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023.

On Netflix, he stars as Eduardo in the hit series "Turn of the Tide / Rabo de Peixe," with a highly anticipated new season on the horizon. His notable television work includes key roles as Amaro in "O Crime do Padre Amaro" (RTP) and David in "Bem Me Quer." He has also appeared in various other series such as "A Filha," "Pôr do Sol," and "Até Que a Vida nos Separe."

José's television career began in 2015 with the soap opera "Jardins Proibidos," followed by performances in "Santa Bárbara," "Rainha das Flores," "Espelho d'Água," "A Herdeira," and "O Valor da Vida." His talents extended to Brazilian audiences as part of the main cast in the Rede Globo novela "Salve-se Quem Puder/Run for Your Lives" in 2019.
