John Emmet Tracy
**John Emmet Tracy: A Multifaceted Actor**
With more than three decades of experience in the entertainment industry, John Emmet Tracy has made a significant impact across theatre, film, television, and voiceovers. His diverse performances have taken him to renowned venues around the globe, including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, where he served as a member of the Globe's International Actors' Fellowship. Notably, he toured Japan in the title role of Hamlet. A seasoned performer, John has been involved in over one hundred productions and was honored with the 2013 Jessie Richardson Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role for his portrayal in Pi Theatre's production of Mark O'Rowe's *Terminus*. Additionally, he founded The 24 Hour Shakespeare Project, a charity initiative in which he performed all thirty-eight of Shakespeare's plays non-stop for twenty-four hours to benefit British Columbia Children's Hospital.
In film, John has appeared in notable titles such as *Fifty Shades Freed*, *If I Stay*, *American Mary*, *Stagecoach: The Texas Jack Story*, and Steven Spielberg's *The BFG*. His television credits include lead, recurring, and supporting roles in acclaimed series such as *Altered Carbon*, *iZombie*, *The Man in the High Castle*, and *Supernatural*, among others.
John honed his craft at Rose Bruford College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, along with training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York. He has directed over thirty theatre productions and has dedicated twenty years to teaching in various colleges, conservatories, and studios across Canada and the United States.
