Altynay Nogerbek
Altynay Bauyrzhankyzy Nogerbek, a distinguished actress from Kazakhstan, was born on November 26, 1976, in Almaty. She is the daughter of the esteemed film scholar and professor, Bauyrzhan Nogerbek, which undoubtedly influenced her artistic path.
Altynay commenced her formal education at the Kazakh State Institute of Theatre and Cinema named after T. Zhurgenov, from which she graduated in 1997, mentored by notable professors T. Zhamankulov and A. Syghai. Her professional acting career began the same year, and she quickly made her mark in the film industry.
Among her notable performances are roles in acclaimed films such as "Zhauzhürek Myn Bala" (2012), "The Road to Mother" (2016), and "Dawn of the Great Steppe" (2022). Most recently, she featured in the Netflix international project "La Tregua" (2025), portraying a character named Anar, who resides close to a GULAG camp. Altynay expressed that being part of this project felt like a "gift" to her.
