Lety Gómez
Leticia Gómez, known for her dynamic presence in the performing arts, embarked on her journey in theater at the tender age of 15 under the mentorship of the renowned Mexican-Japanese director Seki Sano. A year later, she joined the National Institute of Mexican Youth (INJUVE), where she honed her craft alongside notable figures like Xavier Rojas and Gloria García. In 1954, Gómez took a significant step in her artistic development by enrolling at the National School of Fine Arts while simultaneously pursuing her passion for music at the National Conservatory of Music, focusing on piano studies.
Gómez was also a proud member of the inaugural class of the University Center for Theater, which further solidified her foundation in the performing arts. Throughout her illustrious career, she has become a respected figure in Mexican theater, contributing to numerous productions and earning acclaim for her versatile performances.
