Francesca Hayward
Francesca Hayward, a prominent ballet dancer and actress, was born in Kenya to an English father and a Kenyan mother. She currently holds the title of principal dancer at the Royal Ballet, located at Covent Garden in London. When she was just two years old, Francesca relocated to Goring-by-Sea, a suburb of Worthing in West Sussex, to live with her grandparents. Her journey into ballet began at the tender age of three, inspired by a video of The Nutcracker that her grandparents gifted her.
Throughout her childhood, she trained at Le Serve School of Ballet and Theatre Dance in Worthing, where her teacher recognized her talent and encouraged her to audition for White Lodge, the junior division of the Royal Ballet School. Francesca became a Junior Associate at the age of nine and officially joined the Royal Ballet School at age 11 in 2003. By 2008, she advanced to the Upper School. Although an injury prevented her from graduating officially, she was awarded a certificate of attendance.
Francesca has since garnered acclaim for her performances, showcasing her extraordinary talent and artistry. She has been recognized not only for her captivating stage presence but also for her contributions to the world of ballet, making her a noteworthy figure in contemporary dance.
