Don McKillop
Donald Harley McKillop (February 15, 1928 – December 19, 2005) was a distinguished English actor, renowned for his diverse roles on stage and screen. A graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), McKillop's career spanned several decades, showcasing his talent in both television and film. One of his memorable performances was as Bert the Landlord in the iconic Doctor Who episode, "The Dæmons," which aired as the fifth and final serial of the eighth season in 1971.
He also portrayed Jack in the beloved sitcom The Likely Lads and took on the role of Bill in Rosie. In the Scottish television series Sutherland's Law, he played Sgt. McKechnie alongside Maev Alexander, further cementing his status in the industry. McKillop's versatility allowed him to shine in a variety of genres; he appeared in five episodes of Dr. Finlay's Casebook between 1964 and 1970. His film credits include notable works such as The Breaking of Bumbo (1970), An American Werewolf in London (1981), and Walter (1982). McKillop's contributions to the arts left a lasting impact, and his performances continue to be remembered fondly by audiences.
