Plot

Doug Russell, portrayed by James Iglehart, embarks on a treacherous adventure in the Philippines, where he steals gold with two Vietnam War comrades. Betrayed by them, he faces a near-fatal attack and is cast into the sea. Miraculously, he washes up on an isolated island, home to two Japanese soldiers stranded since World War II. They heal him and impart lessons in martial arts and samurai philosophy. Meanwhile, his duplicitous former friends, Marelli and Maghee, seize their ill-gotten gains to dominate the Los Angeles mafia scene, setting the stage for a thrilling confrontation.
