Dragnet Night (1931)

Plot

A sailor encounters a captivating music hall singer during a police raid and quickly falls for her. At a fair, he impressively beats a former boxing champion, who then takes him under his wing to train as a boxer. After clinching the French title, the sailor becomes tempted by quick riches and a seductive woman. As the singer embarks on a tour, he spirals into a life of excess. Unprepared and spiritually drained, he enters the European championship, facing the consequences of his choices and the emptiness that now defines him.
