Reyhan, a 13-year-old from a devout family, arrives at her grandmother Ummu's house in a traditional Anatolian village for the summer, accompanied by her mother Hatice and younger brother Mehmet. Recently experiencing her first period, Reyhan is anxious about fulfilling religious obligations. Her worries intensify when she discovers the village's water supply is cut off, jeopardizing her ability to perform vital ablution rites meant to shield her from djinns and disfigurement. As nightmares plague her, Reyhan also feels compelled to support her best friend, Şükran, navigating the challenges of her summer in this conservative environment.
