Plot

Mystery writer Janet Frobisher finds solace in her secluded home, having distanced herself from her criminal spouse. Her heart, however, belongs to her secretary's fiancé. When her estranged husband suddenly reappears, tensions rise, leading Janet to take drastic measures and poison him. Just as she plans to dispose of the body, a member of her husband's criminal entourage arrives, complicating her already precarious situation.
