Plot
Abel Grey is tasked with probing the mysterious death of a boy from a prestigious local school, whose body is discovered in the river. While the institution pushes the narrative of suicide to avoid scandal, Abel learns from the boy’s girlfriend, Carlin, that he faced severe bullying. As he delves deeper, Abel suspects a sinister initiation ritual gone awry and seeks the assistance of a compassionate teacher, Betsy. Despite pressure from his superior to abandon the case—due to the school’s financial ties to the police—Abel feels compelled to uncover the truth, especially as the deceased seems to guide him from beyond.
