Marc-André Leclerc, a remarkable solo climber, views his ascents as a spiritual calling and considers the icy peaks of British Columbia his true home. Filmmaker Peter Mortimer captures the essence of Marc-André's elusive nature while trying to interview him at the base of a towering cliff. The star climber, however, prefers the solitude of the forest, where he lives in a tent with his girlfriend, Brette Harrington. As Mortimer films breathtaking winter solos on precarious ice, it becomes clear that for Marc-André, climbing is a deeply personal journey, untainted by the presence of others.
