Plot

Letters to Max captures the correspondence between French artist and filmmaker Eric Baudelaire and Maxim Gvinjia, the former Foreign Minister of the self-proclaimed Caucasian state of Abkhazia. This work serves as a narrative of their evolving friendship while also functioning as a creative and thought-provoking essay film that explores the complex and often uncertain concept of nationhood.
