Plot

With the passing of Henry IV, Hal ascends the throne. Faced with a divided England, he seeks to shed his reckless past, aiming to earn the loyalty of his nobles and citizens alike. When the French Dauphin mocks him, Henry seizes the moment to assert his claim over parts of France, rallying his forces for a campaign intended to unify his kingdom. In celebration of the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, Gregory Doran presents Henry V as part of his ongoing study of Shakespeare's History Plays, with Alex Hassell reprising his role as the king after portraying Hal in Henry IV Parts I & II.
