Plot

Ichi, a wandering swordsman with a bounty on his head, seeks peace in a village he once cherished. Unfortunately, it has come under the control of Boss Masagoro, a merchant’s son accused of stealing gold from the shogunate. Masagoro employs Yojimbo, a tough, alcohol-loving enforcer who secretly serves as a spy and is infatuated with the merchant's unwilling mistress, Umeno. Taking a job as the merchant’s masseur, Ichi uses the man’s own wealth to secure Umeno's freedom, igniting tensions with Yojimbo. As conflict erupts, Ichi uncovers the hidden gold, leading to a climactic showdown.
