Plot
Berit struggles with deep-seated depression and suicidal thoughts, having spent years in institutions due to her fraught relationship with her mother. Recently, she secures a job in an industry, contingent upon her return home. However, the tension between mother and daughter remains palpable. During a dance one evening, Berit encounters Gösta, a stevedore who may offer the understanding and support she desperately needs. As their connection develops, Berit faces the challenge of navigating her troubled past and finding hope for a brighter future.
