Plot
Gabriel, known as Le Poulpe (The Octopus), is a relaxed private detective who takes on cases purely for enjoyment. His latest venture leads him to the fictional port town of Angerneau in the Loire Valley, where his girlfriend Clotilde has been called in by the police regarding vandalism at her late relative's grave. Eager to escape her past and the people of her hometown, Clotilde wishes to leave quickly. However, Gabriel uncovers a web of mysteries surrounding the cargo of a ship docked in the port, drawing him deeper into the intrigue.
