Plot
Teenager Fern faces the harsh realities of life as she navigates a cold Montreal winter after losing her parents. Determined to escape her mother's tragic fate, she adopts a false identity to secure jobs as a janitor and cook while evading Youth Protection. Amidst her struggles, she discovers a book titled ‘50 Ways to Become a Millionaire: All You Need to Do is Save,’ which ignites her ambition to replace her grief with a relentless pursuit of wealth. Directed by Wiebke von Carolsfeld and starring newcomer Imajyn Cardinal, this poignant tale is adapted from Edeet Ravel's young adult novel.
