Buffalo Rider (2015)

Plot

A spirited Thai-American teenager is uprooted from her life and sent to stay with her relatives in a remote Thai village. There, she finds herself at odds with the local community after forging a bond with a mute peasant boy. Her encouragement leads him to pursue his dream of participating in the village's annual buffalo race. As they navigate cultural differences and face opposition, their friendship becomes a catalyst for change, challenging traditions and uniting the village in unexpected ways.
