Plot
Marvin, a widower with a penchant for drinking, crosses paths with Tige, an 11-year-old orphan in need of a home. With no other options, Tige moves in with Marvin, and the two form a deep bond. Marvin dreams of adopting Tige but feels inadequate due to his financial struggles. When he learns that Tige's father is a wealthy suburbanite unaware of his son’s existence, Marvin faces a heart-wrenching dilemma. Can he let go of the boy he loves for the sake of a stranger who has the wealth and status to provide a better life?
