Plot
A kind elderly woman finds an abandoned baby in her cabbage patch and raises him as her own. After her passing, the boy, Totò, grows up in an orphanage but later leaves to seek work in the struggling landscape of post-war Milan. He befriends a group of homeless individuals and spearheads the creation of a makeshift community on an empty lot. When ruthless developers target their home, Totò must rally his friends and devise an extraordinary plan to defend their newfound sanctuary against impending eviction.
