Plot
Amanda Knox spent four years in an Italian prison for the 2007 murder of her British flatmate, Meredith Kercher, maintaining her innocence throughout. In 2011, Knox was acquitted due to DNA evidence, but the decision was overturned after a successful prosecutor appeal. A retrial in 2014 resulted in a guilty verdict, sentencing her to 28 years and six months. The ordeal concluded in March 2015 when Italy's highest court exonerated Knox and her ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito. Meanwhile, Rudy Guede, whose bloodstained fingerprints were found at the scene, was convicted of the murder and is serving a 16-year sentence.
