Plot

Lulu Monahan, the press agent for the legendary John Barrymore, is on a mission to secure a sponsor for a new radio show. To generate buzz, she collaborates with Kay Kyser's agent to fabricate a story claiming that Barrymore will reluctantly mentor Kyser in Shakespearean acting. The comedic clash between the esteemed actor's classical training and Kyser's more lighthearted style quickly comes to light, creating a humorous contrast that highlights the challenges of bridging two very different worlds of performance.
