Plot

Vernon Richardson and Imani Townsend cross paths at a charming jazz club, blissfully unaware that they are perfect matches on a popular dating site. Drawn to each other’s true selves, they struggle against life's challenges and misleading expectations that threaten their connection. Vernon, an aspiring writer, lands a job at Imani's publishing company, leading to an unexpected convergence of their lives. As Vernon’s attempts to impress Imani unravel, leaving her heartbroken, he vows to redeem himself, hoping she’ll grant him a second chance to make a lasting first impression in this contemporary romantic comedy.
