Plot
At a summer camp, college student Marjorie Morgenstern finds herself captivated by Noel Airman, a 32-year-old aspiring playwright affiliated with a nearby theater. Though they share similar Jewish backgrounds from upper-middle-class New York, Noel's disconnection from his heritage raises concerns for Marjorie’s traditional parents. Despite his repeated cautions about her naivety and conventional outlook, their connection deepens, leading them into a passionate romance. As the summer unfolds, Marjorie must navigate her desires against familial expectations and Noel's complex identity.
