Plot

A vibrant weekend in Palm Springs draws a lively group of college students from Los Angeles, with Jim falling for Bunny, the daughter of the uptight local police chief. His clumsy roommate, Biff, attempts to win over the tomboy Amanda using a quirky love gadget. Meanwhile, high school senior Gayle pretends to be a wealthy college girl, catching the eye of spoiled preppy Eric, though her heart belongs to Texas cowboy Stretch. Adding to the chaos, Jim and Biff’s basketball coach, Campbell, pursues motel owner Naomi, but her mischievous son, Boom-Boom, complicates matters.
