Plot
Set against the backdrop of the Moravian Beskydy Mountains, this poignant tale follows Františka Plesníková, a young woman grappling with loss and hardship. After her fiancé tragically dies from a falling tree just before their wedding, Františka is left to confront the harsh reality of becoming an unwed mother. Determined to provide a better future for her son, Metúdek, she marries an elderly widower farmer named Podešva. However, as time passes, Františka discovers that this union has not improved her or her child's circumstances, leading her to question her choices.
