Plot

Seven months into her pregnancy, Lena plans to sell her unborn child, and Ermanno agrees to pose as the father. Their arrangement is a workaround for Fabio, Ermanno's uncle, who desperately wants a child with his wife, Bianca, but cannot have one. This fake adoption scheme highlights a society where money reigns supreme. As they navigate their charade, Lena and Ermanno, initially self-centered and combative, begin to form a genuine bond. Living together forces them to confront their emotions, blurring the lines between pretense and reality.
