Plot

Jung-cheol faces a harsh reality where income directly correlates to effort, a concept that haunts him at the soybean paste factory during a brutal winter. As he toils away, he fantasizes about escaping to the sun-soaked Philippines come spring, provided he can endure the season and meet his work obligations. However, his situation deteriorates as the challenges mount. The fermentation room becomes increasingly suffocating, plagued by the encroaching black mold from the vast quantities of fermenting soybeans, symbolizing his struggle to survive both physically and mentally in this oppressive environment.
