Plot

Jim Wormold, an English expatriate struggling to make ends meet in Havana before the Cuban Revolution, juggles life with his teenage daughter, Milly. Owner of a lackluster vacuum cleaner shop, he sees an unexpected opportunity when Hawthorne from the British Secret Service approaches him. Desperate for extra income, Wormold agrees to create a fictitious network of spies in Cuba. What begins as a farcical venture soon spirals into a web of intrigue, as his fabricated reports catch the attention of real intelligence operatives, leading to unexpected consequences.
