In the quaint town of Mariotto, located in Puglia, preparations are in full swing for the reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. However, when Michael, the blond hairstylist cast as Jesus, accidentally sits on the crown of thorns, chaos erupts. The local priest quickly enlists Ameluk, who is Muslim, to take over the role. This decision sparks global controversy, dividing public opinion just as it has in Mariotto. Amidst a blend of heartfelt drama and comedic moments, it falls to Ameluk to mend the rift between the opposing sides.
