Plot
Martin Luxford, freshly released from prison, is determined to start a swing band inspired by his saxophone lessons from cellmate Jack. Back in Liverpool, he assembles a quirky group of misfits and enlists his former flame, Joan, to be the lead vocalist. Complicating matters, Joan is now married to the policeman who arrested Martin. Their first performance at a heavy metal pub turns disastrous, raising doubts about their potential for success. Amidst personal and professional challenges, Martin must navigate the complexities of his past to pursue his musical dreams.
