Plot

An elderly man living in seclusion among the mountains struggles to save his son Sohrab from a grim fate. Despite his relentless attempts, he cannot prevent Sohrab's execution. Heartbroken, he embarks on a poignant journey, carrying his son's lifeless body through rugged landscapes, performing a baptism along the way. As he grapples with his profound loss, he also faces the challenge of caring for his grandson, intertwining themes of grief, love, and resilience against the backdrop of nature's unforgiving beauty.
