Plot

Childless couple Andrei, a writer, and Olga, an artist, find joy in adopting eight-year-old Ksyusha. Complicating their newfound happiness is Iren, the orphanage director and Andrei's former flame, who harbors lingering feelings for him and will stop at nothing to reclaim his affection. As Andrei pens a science fiction novel depicting a haunting version of Petersburg, Ksyusha unexpectedly enters this eerie realm where time is frozen and grotesque beings roam. Alongside a mysterious ally named Paramon, she embarks on a thrilling journey filled with peril and intrigue, testing the bonds of family and loyalty.
