Slap Happy Pappy (1940)

Plot

Porky operates a poultry farm, where he plows the fields and promotes “miracle eggs” on a whimsical sign. Enter Jack Bunny, a rabbit channeling Jack Benny, who inspects eggs and accidentally hatches a black baby bird impersonating Rochester. Meanwhile, the Eddie Cackler family, led by Eddie Cantor, faces disappointment with all-girl hatchlings. A Bing Crosby doppelgänger arrives, revealing his secret: serenading chicks to produce sons. Eddie tries the same with his wife, resulting in a curious hatchling that leaves them questioning its gender. The lively antics culminate in a joyful song and dance, celebrating the unpredictable nature of parenthood.
