Plot

Charley Kyng, an illegal casino proprietor, faces a health crisis when he learns he has heart disease. Following his doctor's advice to prioritize family, Charley struggles to balance his dual life. His son, Paul, grapples with embarrassment over his father's shady profession, culminating in a confrontation at prom. Adding to the tension, Charley's brother-in-law, Robbin, succumbs to financial pressure and starts rigging games to pay off his crippling gambling debts.
