West of the Pecos (1945)

Plot

Colonel Lambeth journeys westward for his health, bringing his daughter Rill along for the ride. After getting lost in the unforgiving desert, they are rescued by Pecos and his companion Chito. Grateful for their help, the Colonel employs the duo, but soon they are entangled in Pecos' troubles. Having murdered Sawtelle's brother, Pecos becomes the target of Sawtelle, who leads a group of vigilantes determined to exact revenge. As tensions rise, the Lambeths must navigate a perilous situation that could endanger their lives.
