Plot

Fourteen-year-old Annabel finds solace living with her fisherman grandfather on a beautiful island after the tragic loss of her parents. Surrounded by a supportive yet eccentric community and her beloved dolphin friend, Mitzy, life seems idyllic. However, her world is turned upside down when her maternal grandparents show up with a dubious lawyer, intent on whisking her away to New York. Determined to stay in her island home, Annabel teams up with her friends to devise a plan, showcasing the strength of love and friendship in their fight against the impending separation.
