Plot
Set in a Danish village during the early 1600s, Anne, a young woman burdened by her mother's witchcraft accusations, finds herself drawn to Marte, an elderly woman facing similar charges. Despite the kindness of her husband, Pastor Absalon, who once saved Anne's mother, his domineering mother pressures him to abandon Marte. Complications arise when Absalon’s son returns home and becomes infatuated with Anne, intertwining their fates. As tensions rise, Anne must confront her family's dark history and the village's chilling beliefs about witchcraft.
