Plot
Set in the 1950s, "Inventing the Abbotts" follows brothers Jacey and Doug Holt, who hail from a less fortunate background in their quiet Midwestern town. Jacey, a charming flirt, juggles his attention between the affluent Abbott sisters, Eleanor and Alice, with the intention of toying with their emotions. In contrast, the more introspective Doug embarks on a genuine romance with Pamela, which raises eyebrows from Jacey and the strict Abbott father, Lloyd.
