Plot

Winslow Homer, renowned for his evocative illustrations in Harper’s Weekly during the Civil War, seeks solace from the chaos at Houghton Farm after witnessing the war's brutality. His tranquility is disrupted by two inquisitive teens, Gabe and Fee, who become his unexpected companions. As they pose for him, they bond over their shared pain, masking the deep scars the war has left on their families. Through their friendship, Homer imparts wisdom about confronting the past and embracing the future, ultimately finding inspiration for his new painting, "Snap the Whip," in their connection.
