Amidst the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia, Dr. Franticek Svoboda, a dedicated Czech patriot, takes a bold stand by assassinating the notorious Reichsprotektor Reinhard Heydrich, known as the "Hangman of Europe." Although he succeeds in his mission, he sustains injuries during the escape. He finds unexpected aid from history professor Stephen Novotny and his daughter, Mascha, who become pivotal allies in his fight against oppression.
