The Trail (2013)

Plot

Amelia reluctantly embarks on her husband's ambitious journey westward during the 1848 California gold rush. When he rashly ventures ahead of their group, tragedy strikes as he is killed by Indigenous warriors. Left alone in an unforgiving wilderness she never wished to explore, Amelia faces the daunting challenge of navigating back to civilization. With minimal survival skills and scant supplies, she must summon her inner strength to endure the harsh landscape and find her way home.
