Plot
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Atchafalaya Basin, a group of lively teens enjoys a beach weekend before the annual Gator Fest. Chaos ensues when an animal smuggling operation goes awry, releasing a monstrous shark into the swampy waters. As tragedy strikes at the McDaniel family restaurant, local sheriff mistakenly attributes the mayhem to escaped alligators. Determined to set the record straight, Rachel McDaniel insists the true threat is a shark, enlisting the help of a mysterious stranger, Charlie. Together, they must rescue Rachel's sister, Krystal, and protect festival-goers from an unprecedented aquatic menace.
