Plot

In "Ring 2," Mai Takano delves into the chilling circumstances surrounding her boyfriend's death, which leads her to an infamous videotape cursed by the vengeful spirit of a girl named Sadako. This tape brings doom to anyone who views it, claiming their life exactly seven days later. As the supernatural connection intensifies, Mai discovers that her boyfriend's son, Yoichi, is beginning to exhibit similar psychic powers to Sadako. Faced with a race against time, Mai is determined to protect both herself and Yoichi from falling prey to the deadly curse.
