Plot

Facing her boyfriend's arrest for marijuana possession, Joleen Reedy seeks shelter with her brother James, a man lacking direction. As Joleen escapes with a truck driver, James struggles to handle his newfound responsibilities. When Child Protective Services intervenes and places 11-year-old Tara in foster care, desperation drives James to abduct her.
