Leaving Africa (2015)

Plot

In Uganda, Riitta and Catherine share a home and a mission. During the day, these two women in their sixties educate people from Catholic, Muslim, and Anglican communities about sexual health and equality. At night, they enjoy smoking, solving crosswords, and engaging in open conversations. As Riitta approaches the end of her lengthy career focused on uplifting women in Africa, the Ugandan government is making efforts to dismantle their sex education program in her final months in the country.
