Plot
In 1968 Germany, sisters Marianna and Juliane, daughters of a priest, find themselves on diverging paths in their quest for social change, particularly around abortion rights. Juliane pursues her activism through journalism, while Marianna resorts to violence by joining a terrorist group. When Marianna is arrested and imprisoned, Juliane becomes her sole link to the outside world. Despite her own reservations and pressure from her boyfriend Wolfgang, Juliane continues to support her sister, ultimately challenging the harsh treatment Marianna faces and questioning their ideological divide.
