Plot
Set against the backdrop of post-apartheid South Africa, Tsidi, a single mother, reluctantly relocates to her estranged mother Mavis's home. Mavis is a dedicated domestic worker, tending to her catatonic white employer, whom she refers to as ‘Madam,’ with an unsettling devotion. As Tsidi navigates the complexities of family reconciliation, a dark presence begins to emerge, threatening to unravel the fragile dynamics of their lives. The film explores themes of identity, heritage, and the haunting legacies of the past in a society still grappling with its history.
