Plot

Albert and David Maysles’ iconic documentary GREY GARDENS captured the eccentric lives of Edith and Little Edie Beale, distant relatives of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. However, the backstory reveals that Lee Radziwill and Peter Beard initially introduced the Maysles to the Beales while working on a film about Radziwill’s upbringing. Their original footage lay dormant for 45 years until this documentary revived it. Through Beard's memories and artistic lens, audiences are transported to the vibrant summer of 1972, showcasing an eclectic mix of cultural icons like Warhol and Jagger, navigating a world constrained by societal norms.
